Repair vs. Replacement

Should you repair — or replace?

Should I repair or replace my roof?
Most roofs should be repaired. Repair when the damage is localized, the deck is sound, and the surface materials still have life — the most common scenario. Replace only when the roof has reached end of life, the underlayment or membrane has failed roof-wide, or the deck is compromised throughout. Our free, documented inspection gives you an honest answer, not a sales pitch.
What's the difference between a roof repair and a roof rebuild?
A repair fixes a specific problem — a cracked tile, a flashing joint, a leak. A rebuild strategically replaces the failed sections (underlayment, decking, flashing, surface materials) while keeping the 60–80% of the roof that's still sound. For localized damage, a rebuild delivers the same waterproofing as a replacement for a fraction of the cost.
Why do so many companies push a full replacement?
A replacement is more profitable and faster to sell than a careful repair. We built our business on the opposite instinct — inspecting first and replacing only when it's truly warranted — which is why owners call us for a second opinion on a replacement quote.
Do you repair all types of roofs?
Yes — tile (clay and concrete), asphalt shingle, flat and low-slope membranes (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up), and metal. Each system has its own failure modes and repair techniques, and we keep the right materials and equipment for all of them.
Cost & Value

What roof repair actually costs.

How much does roof repair cost in Palm Beach County?
Most repairs run $400–$12,000 depending on roof type and scope — a cracked tile or flashing joint at the low end, a valley or section of underlayment at the high end — versus $15,000–$75,000+ for a full replacement. Our free inspection gives you a written repair-vs-replace comparison.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes — a complete inspection with attic thermal imaging and a written summary of condition and any repairs needed, at no cost and with no obligation. A 5-Year Roof Certification, if you need that document, is quoted up front.
How much can a repair or rebuild save me?
Keeping the sound 60–80% of a roof and rebuilding only the failed sections commonly saves $15,000 or more over a full replacement, and can significantly extend the roof's service life when the remaining roof system is still structurally sound.
Insurance & the Roof Age Law

Insurance, age, and certifications.

Will insurance cover my roof repair?
It depends on the cause. Storm, hurricane, and sudden accidental damage are often covered; gradual wear, age, and deferred maintenance usually aren't. We provide full documentation — photos, damage assessment, moisture reports — to support a claim, and an optional 5-Year Certification documenting remaining useful life.
What is Florida's Roof Age Law?
Florida Statute §627.7011 protects your right to a real inspection and the option to repair and certify rather than replace, instead of an insurer condemning a roof on age alone. Roof age and roof condition are not the same thing — see our Roof Age Law page.
What is a 5-Year Roof Certification?
An inspection-based report documenting your roof's current condition and estimated remaining useful life — the document insurers, lenders, and buyers increasingly require. It records what shape the roof is actually in, signed under our Florida contractor license. See a real, redacted example on our 5-Year Certification page.
What's the difference between a certification and a warranty?
A certification is an inspection-based report on the roof's condition and remaining useful life — for insurers, lenders, and buyers. A workmanship warranty covers the repairs we perform. A certification reports on the roof; a warranty stands behind our work.
Emergencies & Storms

Leaks, storms, and fast response.

How fast can you respond to a roof emergency?
We provide around-the-clock emergency response across Palm Beach County for active leaks and storm damage, as quickly as conditions safely allow. Call (561) 856-5060 — your call rings directly to the owner's office — we'll move fast to stop the water and document the damage, then plan the permanent repair.
What should I do while waiting for the crew?
If it's safe: place buckets under active drips, move valuables away from the water, and take photos and video for your insurance claim. If water is near fixtures, outlets, or the panel, cut power to that area. Don't climb onto a wet or storm-damaged roof yourself.
Do you work during hurricanes and severe storms?
We respond whenever it's safe for our crew. During active hurricane-force winds — generally above about 40 mph — all roofing contractors are barred from roofs by safety regulations. We stage equipment and move the moment conditions allow.
Working With Us

Local, licensed, and easy to reach.

Do you serve my city?
We repair roofs across all of Palm Beach County — Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Jupiter, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, and the communities in between. See the cities we serve.
Do you work with HOAs and architectural-review boards?
Yes, routinely — matching tile profiles and colors to community standards and providing the documentation boards require. Many of the gated and historic communities we serve hold every repair to architectural-review standards.
Can you match discontinued tile or shingle colors?
Usually, yes. Through our manufacturer and architectural-salvage network we match current profiles within days and discontinued or historic materials within weeks — placing the closest matches on the most visible elevations so repairs blend in.
